Simplicities and Positivities

In a world of on the go individuals, hustle-bustle, and negativities, we sometimes forget to enjoy the little things in life. We forget to live in the moment and enjoy ourselves as we create memories. It is so important to work hard and pursue your dreams, but don’t let those goals stop you from enjoying life. Don’t let life pass you by as you try and take the next cab to catch up to it, because in that city traffic, it’s going to be tough to do.

So, instead of worrying excessively about the future, learn to enjoy what you have now. Fill your world with people that make you happy. Don’t get caught up in the tangible things in life, but focus on experiences and memories.

Look in the mirror and see the person that you want to be. Don’t look for someone else because you won’t find them looking staring at you. They say that ‘comparison is the thief of joy.’ People tell you to stop comparing yourself with others, but it is easier said than done. I know because I’m guilty of this too. But, to prevent this, learn to love your flaws and fill your life with positivity and happiness. Start by naming the things you love about your life and yourself out loud or write them down. By doing this,  you hear and see those beauties in your world. This simple exercise is a great way to see the immense happiness you have in your life.

Learn to enjoy the moment. Stop taking snapchats every time you are with your friends or doing something cool. Simply enjoy the time you are spending and live in the moment, not through the moment. It’s obviously important to capture those memories, but not all memories need to be captured. Some just need to be kept for yourself to enjoy and not shared with the world.

So, work hard, but enjoy the simple things.

Live in the moment.

Be happy.
